School Day
- Instructional Day 8:25 - 3:00 Help us protect this time.
- Arrival Time - No earlier than 8:00
- Parents who transport their children can sign their children out in the cafeteria between 3:00 and 3:10.
- We are unable to take bus/transportation changes over the phone. We ask that you send in changes via the student or fax (352-8074) us a note by 2:00. If you fax a note, please follow up with a phone call to ensure our receipt of the fax. We cannot guarantee receipt of changes if after 2:00 and/or not followed up with a phone call.
- When writing a bus note, please include the child's first/last name, old bus, new bus, 911 address of destination, name of person at address, and a phone number where that person can be reached if necessary.
- Bus dismissal begins at 3:07

Notes Needed
- When transportation changes
- When your child returns from being absent
- When an early dismissal is expected
- When there are custody or health concerns
- When there is a change in address, phone numbers, or emergency contact
- When a conference is requested
- When clarification of an assignment, program, or policy is needed
- When a child is being released to someone other than a custodial parent/guradian

APS Cafeteria Account System
The computerized system provides parents the option of estalishing an account whereby daily lunch costs can be deducted. Parents may choose to place money in their child's account weekly, monthly, or yearly. Contact Mrs. Jo Harris at 353-7476 for more information. |
Breakfast Program
Breakfast, like the lunch program is offered on a full, reduced, or free basis. Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch are also eligible for free or recduced breakfast. |

Membership Fee is only $5 per Family
We organize, plan and execute several school-wide projects during the year, as well as conduct fund raisers. Those funds go directly back to the school in the form of books, rewards, and supplies for the teachers.

What did the PTO do in 2009 – 2010?
We gave $4,300 for teacher supplies.
We gave $2,000 for trade books for students.
We gave $300 for reading rewards.
We gave $1,300 towards teacher gifts and meals.
We gave $150 for students to go to AJ Skate World as a reward for 100 Accelerated Reader points.
We raised approximately $12,000 and continue to raise money for new playground equipment at APS. |
