Library Mission Statement

The mission of the library program at Appomattox Middle School is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The library provides access to information, instruction, resources, and activities to contribute to lifelong learning.

We will also strive to create an atmosphere that fosters the pursuit of reading for pleasure by providing programs that expose students/staff to a wide range of materials for recreational reading, a diverse collection for students/staff to use for pleasure and instruction and opportunities to stimulate students/staff to read for pleasure.
